WHERE DID “LE ARCATE” BEGIN
Probably the best place to start is to explain why our holiday farm is called “Le Arcate”. In Langhe everything boasts its own history: the hills, the vineyards, the villages, the roads and even the “Le Arcate” family-run holiday farm. So why is it called “Le Arcate”? To explain we need to go back into the past and start in Sinio in the neighbourhood of Gabutti, just outside the inhabited centre. At the top of the hill where the road turns gently upwards and directly faces towards the Montelupo Albese was an agricultural business managed by grandfather Ernesto who, with his with calm and caring approach, typical of the people of the Langhe, nurtured the vineyards and hazelnut groves as well as raising livestock.
What makes this business so special are the large arched windows in the main building, hence the name “Le Arcate” which emulate the undulating landscape of the Langhe hills. Over the years, this has resulted in the holiday farm retaining its name.
THE AGRITURISMO
Since 1996, the holiday farm has been consistently developed and enlarged. Thanks in a certain way to the Covid pandemic restrictions in 2020, the building underwent a significant quality upgrade. The old stable was completely restructured and in the freed up area a second dining room and a large terrace were constructed on the ground floor and new modern rooms boasting every comfort were created on the first floor. In addition, the swimming pool area underwent major changes with new sun beds and umbrellas making this area of the holiday farm a true oasis of peace and leisure. Shortly after, work began on creating a new wine cellar with a tasting room so that guests could taste the wines produced by the Manzone family in a relaxed atmosphere.

OUR TEAM: THREE GENERATIONS IN THE BUSINESS
Three generations of the Manzone family work in the company: Silvana, the owner and inspiration of the cuisine who is always looking to provide a table laden with the leading Langhe traditional dishes. From ‘Vitello Tonnato’ (Veal in tuna sauce) to ‘Carne all’Albese’ (Albese style steak tartare) to ‘Tajarin’ pasta made of 40 egg yolks, ‘Plin’ agnolotti and ‘Brasato’ (braised beef) cooked in Barolo. Working in the kitchen with Silvana is her grandmother?? Or mother Ausilia whose precious experience ensures that each and every dish even more unique.
The remainder of the team is made up of Marco, Silvana’s husband, who takes care of welcoming guests and running the restaurant and their two children Enrico, the agriculture expert and Alberto, the oenologist. These two look after the agricultural business and the wine cellar including wine production and the hazelnut products.

Menù Ottimo, cucina alla piemontese, leggera e saporita,i lor vini proposti Buoni, il servizio Eccellente il proprietario e i figli sono presenti e non invasivi, il locale è perfetto ordinato pulito in ogni suo angolo. Lo consiglio a tutti è veramente da provare. Ci tornerò presto siamo rimasti entusiasti. Se posso dare un consiglio, il gradino in veranda è un po pericoloso x le persone distratte.

Meriterebbe molte stelle solo per l'ordine e la pulizia. L'agriturismo a gestione familiare è in una bellissima posizione in mezzo alle vigne. Vino ottimo e di loro produzione. Il cibo è genuino e le porzioni sono abbondanti. Personale molto gentile. Torneremo sicuramente.

Abbiamo pranzato in terrazza con una meravigliosa vista sui vigneti e noccioleti delle Langhe. Portate ottime e abbondanti accompagnate da vini superlativi, prezzo nella norma considerata la bontà e la freschezza dei cibi serviti.
